In todays global economy, organizations are continuously becoming more diverse. This broadening diversification of organization members includes cultural backgrounds, ethnicities, age, gender, and sexual orientation. Thus, it is imperative people managers understand how to effectively lead individuals who are different from them. Leaders who can bring an array of diverse individuals together and form a cohesive team aligned on common goals, purpose, and values will gain a competitive advantage. Executive Education - Fundamentals of Effective Negotiation

From Preparation to Execution: Build Essential Skills for Effective, Value-Driven Negotiations. Fundamentals of Effective Negotiation is a one-day session designed to introduce you to the ABCs of negotiation and how to build a strong foundation of how to think about, prepare for, and execute negotiations in a variety of contexts (e.g., client negotiations). Through this session, you will gain greater understanding into the five fundamental questions you should ask before every negotiation to enhance your negotiating effectiveness. Additionally, you will explore different negotiating approaches, assess your own negotiation style, and learn how it may influence your negotiated outcomes. Finally, you will gain practice negotiating in both two-party and multi-party negotiations, much like the ones you might encounter with clients, coworkers, and/or supervisors. Through these experiences, you will gain a deeper understanding of how to negotiate both assertively and collaboratively in order to create greater value-adding agreements. Wake Forest MBA Program Ranks No. 1 in North Carolina and Among the Nation's Top 20

For 16 consecutive years, the Wake Forest University School of Business MBA program has held the top position as the No. 1 part-time program in North Carolina. Nationally, it continues to excel, securing the No. 19 spot among part-time MBA programs in the country, according to U.S. News & World Report’s 2025 Best Graduate Schools list.

The 20-month program stands out for its collaborative learning environment and highly engaging courses that are designed to equip working professionals with a strategic, global perspective on business. Regular contributions from leading executives enrich the business analytics, finance, and leadership and strategy concentrations. Additionally, the program provides students with career guidance for life, coupled with access to the highly-connected Wake Forest alumni network, offering access to industry experts and excellent networking opportunities.

“The Wake MBA experience not only provides the flexibility needed for working professionals to excel academically while advancing their careers, but also provides practical learning that enables students to drive impact in their organizations from day one,” said Sherry Moss, Associate Dean for MBA Programs. “Our graduates are prepared to lead, innovate, and excel in any industry.”

The ranking methodology considers both school and student metrics. The peer assessment score accounts for 50 percent of a school’s overall score. For Wake Forest, this assessment is based on evaluations from deans and program directors at other AACSB accredited institutions. The remaining 50 percent of the overall score is determined by the class profile, which includes work experience, academic performance and other relevant criteria. The 2025 ranking included a total of 241 schools.
